Do you want to know if your Wi-Fi network is safe / vulnerable? WPS Tester checks the security of your network using WPS protocol.
The WPS protocol allows you to connect to a WiFi network using an 8-digit PIN number. This PIN numbers are usually predefined in the router. Some companies have PINs that are publicly known or it is known how to calculate these PINs.
This app uses these pins to try to connect to the network and check whether it is vulnerable. It implements known algorithms for pin generation and it also tries the default pins for that vendor. It can calculate the default pin for some routers.
The use is really easy, just scan networks around you, and you will see a list of networks / access points available. Every network will show its config information. Looking at this info you can check if a network has WPS enabled or not.
For each network you can run our Security Check. This check will test if the network is vulnerable or it is safe.
You don’t need ROOT in your device to use our application. Most Android devices are compatible with the app.
IMPORTANT: Use this app in your OWN network. Intrusion in foreign networks could be punishable by law in your country. If you find that your network is vulnerable please turn off WPS and set a custom strong password (use our app for that purpose).
DISCLAIMER: Not all WPS networks are vulnerable. Some networks could be seen as vulnerable but the owner or the company could have updated their firmware and corrected the fault.
WPS PIN connection don’t work in some LG models. It’s a known problem in LG’s software.
